We fully support a split domain setup. 

Using this type of solution allows customers to use a standard POP/IMAP server for accounts that dont need the advanced
features of Exchange whilst also allowing customers to use Exchange on the same domain.

When your Hosted Exchange account is setup, please raise a support ticket to get this setup for you.
